I learned about HAM RADIO after my college graduation in 1995 I found it to be one of the most diverse and interesting hobby available. I was first licensed as DY1MEU, novice class with operating privilege on VHF only. After some encouragement from fellow Hams, I started to learn morse code and subsequently upgraded to technician class, changing my prefix to DU1MEU. After a few months I took the exam for general class and finally in 1998, I received my advance class license (highest in the Philippines) and availed the option of changing my prefix to 4F1MEU I am very much active in almost all bands (except WARC & 160M) VHF, UHF and HF. Majority of my operating modes are FM, SSB, CW & digital, my station is also the gateway of DX1DAC-L & DX1DAC-R in echolink. Although I go DXing once in a while, most of my HF activities are joining major international contests like, ARRL DX, CQWW, WPX, JIDX, ASIA, OCEANIA etc. operating usually in low power category. Currently I am the club Trustee of Direct Amateur Communication, Inc. (DX1DAC), an amateur radio club which we founded in 1998. I am also the incumbent president of the Club since 2005.My father and two younger sisters are also ham radio operators namely, Mike DU1OLD, Khay DU1PEY, Jhade DU1ODE. I serve as their QSL manager. Thanks a lot for visiting my page, please don’t forget to sign my guestbook, looking forward to hear from you soon…. 73 de 4F1MEU |
